What to do? For Christmas we recieved a very generous gift from grandma. We are now a part of the throngs of families in the U.S sporting a new Wii this Holiday season.
So, the problem is, is that we have said for years we would not own a video game center. We wanted our kids to love books and the outdoors. Playing games with each other, cooking with the family, and just to generally grow up without constant need of entertainment. The other thing that's kind of funny about this new little devise in our home is that we don't have a t.v.! So do we keep it? Do we buy a t.v. so we can use it? We've played this game at friend's homes and it is very fun. But ....is it worth it?
Just turn the Wii on and pretend.
ReplyDeleteReally, if you haven't a TV in your home, don't get one now. I'd love to do away with ours for good. Ryan, on the other hand...
Well, he's a different story.
He's turning on the XBOX as I write this.
I will say this, however. The Wii has been a fun little gaming system. Grandma got it for us years ago when it first came out. Do you remember Ryan and John boxing?
Now that was fun. Or funny.
I think it would count as a way to entertain the ADD in your oldest adult child. Four person tennis is FUN! You can have the Wii in your home, as you know we are dealing with the same issue, we have to constantly be on our toes in going by the timelines, etc that we have set. It isn't Satan carrie...live a little, you might just like boxing with a certain someone during school hours :o)
ReplyDeleteI know...we are getting closer daily to looking for a T.V. but we will not, for sure, get television services. Yuck!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouragement friends. And by the way Mrs. Wii wii, I just talked to you yesterday and it sounded like the boxing match was getting a little to realistic between you and your sweet oldest child. :)
What did you decide about the T.V. and the Wii?
