John came home today for an unexpected long lunch and so I decided to venture out for a run while he ate lunch with the kids. The sun was shining and the birds were singing. The most memorable moment was coming around the corner of the big pond and seeing two beautiful swans. They were amazing.
Tonight I have to come out of my shell and go to a ladies church thing. I was trying to weasel out of it, but a couple of gals kept hounding me. So, I gave in....there better be something chocolate there, that's all I have to say.
I think I ran about 2.5 miles and only stopped to walk twice. I'm feeling stronger and more like my lungs are getting better at handling all the huffing and puffing.
Did they have chocolate?
ReplyDeleteOut of the five different treats brought that night; not a single morsel of chocolate in sight. To say the least, I was very dissappointed. The ladies get together ended up being a big push to get volunteers for the various activities and programs that tend to consume so many churches. And also a big push for Women of Faith. I think you know from past conversations with me how I feel about that kind of stuff.:)
