Food

So, I tried something.
I have a friend who is gluten intolerant and was telling me all of the symptoms that alerted her to go get checked.
As she was telling me these things, I sat there going "wow me too".  Almost every symptom was in my repertoire.
The fatigue and constant loss of brain power is my biggest problem.  Be quiet Kelly.:)  But, seriously, I have had issues of falling asleep everywhere, (even driving) within an hour of eating  a meal.  I also have had problems while visiting with someone and all of a sudden start stuttering and feel this terrible sense of fatigue wash over me.
If I eat spaghetti or a lot of yummy breads, within a couple of hours I am running to the bathroom.  So, I did an elimination diet.  For about three weeks I ate nothing but whole foods. Nothing with gluten that I knew of did I eat.
Then, last week I ate normal.
This is what happened.....
extreme fatigue
overwhelming feeling of depression
stress, snap in an instant
tired, but couldn't sleep well at night
bloating
nausea
couldn't run my normal route without stopping every few minutes
back to two hour naps in the afternoon
and the most obvious...hives
I broke out in hives all over my body and my face is this weird reddish color
So...
this is a sad moment for me.  I know I have to let some good friends go and I don't want to.
Bye bye to my friend chocolate cherry cake, German choc. cake, apple pie, cookies, and bread oh so yummy bread.  Really?  Is it true, I feel like I am going through the steps of someone loosing something near and dear.  I am in the step denial.  It has to be something else.  It just can't be homemade banana bread, or fettuccine making me sick.  Just  can't be.  It's not fair.
