Happenstance

Today we started our school work at the table and I happened to look out the window.
I happened to see the sun shining and sparkling off of our picnic table.
I happened to see the dog laying lazily in the warm glow of the new spring sun.
I happened to remember snow is going to move in tonight.
So, without hesitation, I happened to shut the books, smile at the kids and announce we are going to the park today.
Where I might happen to breathe fresh air and have fun with my children.
