I haven't been sleeping well lately. Maybe I have been listening to the news too often or thinking about our housing situation too much.
Either way, when I got up for my run this morning along the river I had a moment. I looked up and saw the mountains with heavy clouds of gray and white. Mist was hanging in the air. I could see my breath as I gazed at the river still low and slow with patches of ice. Geese and ducks floated softly in the air landing silently to begin feeding, dancing along in the current to a tune of calm.
I could not do anything but breath and pray.
Pray for courage to face each day as one who is faithful and strong. A prayer of hope and for my family to be encourager's during uncertain times and trials. A prayer of thankfulness for my life and for my health. A tear for the things I have forgotten and the times I have been selfish and mean. A quiet, a calm.
May you find peace in the storm friend. May you be blessed today and find pleasure in small, simple things. May you be encouraged and pass that on to someone else. May you be filled with love and hope.
