Running to Bless

Yesterday was the Montana Heart and Sole Run.  Over 3,000 people participated and all proceeds go to charitable non-profit organizations.  Two years ago I ran this run with a group of folks in our family, not knowing that 9 months later baby Rachel and I would be benefiting from one of the groups I was running for.  After two weeks in the N.I.C.U. our hospital bills were soaring.  I desperately filled out a pamphlet for financial assistance praying for some help with the bills.
Not only did the hospital accept to help us, through this organization, all of our bills were forgiven.  All of them.  That's over 54,000 in hospital bills just wiped clean.
So, needless to say, thank you to all those people who run, walk, talk, donate, or whatever to charitable organizations you are a blessing.
Yesterday, I ran in the Heart and Sole  again.  It felt great to run, knowing that my fee was going to go to someone else that needs a little help down the road.

My time for the 5k 26:39
10th place in my age group
159th place over all
Helping others in need ....that's first place in my book
