I have a hard time getting the floor mopped. Not that I don't enjoy a clean floor, but I have this system in my head of things that are supposed to be done before a person mops. You know, such as the whole kitchen being spotless first.
Which is why I have a hard time getting the floor mopped.
So last night we set a timer for our 15 minute pick up game and I purposefully made sure I had kitchen duty. Flying through dishes, wiping down counters, and shaking out rugs; I had the kitchen spotless in 15 min.....except the floor.
My seven yr. old comes in and says she wants to help me mop. Ok that would be fun. Then the four yr. old. Ok, sure why not. Then the baby comes crawling into the room. This will be interesting.
With rags in hand we proceed.
Everyone on hands and knees mopping, laughing, and eew yucking. And what about baby? She figured out that it is super fun to crawl really fast on the wet floor and then throw her arms out and slide. I actually don't know if I could do it, but she was a pro. at the crawl, slide thingy.
I guess getting the floor mopped wasn't that hard after all. Maybe soon we'll have a family window washing night.
