That's cold

We woke up this morning to Negative 21 degrees outside.
It has been a long, cold winter.
Spring, come soon!
We miss you!

  1. First day of Spring is March 20. My birthday. Which is only about a month and a half away.
Warm weather is closer than you think! ;)

  2. It seems that Spring weather doesn't arrive here until late May. Last frost date is usually May 25, ironically, my Birthday :)

  3. I keep trying to convince my husband to follow you guys down south. He just doesn't listen! Or maybe the fishing here is too much of a pull for him. :)

  4. You guys should really move down here. Plenty of animals, you know. And it's like living in paradise most of the time. This morning it's 64 degees at 6am. And thunderstorms.
    It smells so good.

But you'd probably miss your mountains and that first heavy snow fall of each year. Though you'd have beautiful beaches to take their place. Ryan misses the snow but loves it here anyway because the people are more like us.
Its nice to live in a place where homeschooling is so normal that nobody asks you why your kids aren't in school. And large families aren't uncommon.

Yes, you should really move down here. That would be awesome! We could play Farkle!

  5. Oh, and we have fish here too, and lots of it. And shrimp. ;)

  6. Anything could happen. That's what I keep telling myself. It would be wonderful to live in a town that is so family friendly. It is not the case in our current town. In fact, we went to Sarah's basketball game last week and there were only two other sets of parents there from her team. The others have been dropping the kids off and leaving.(It's only a 45min. game) That seemed kind of sad to me. No one to cheer for you when you make a basket.
...Yes maybe I should show John pictures of the BIG fish he could be catching on your beaches!
