Before children I used to think I was something special.
I was thin, had long hair, and my sense of style was pretty good.
I had many friends and acquaintances and was never short on something to go and do on a Friday or Saturday night. I was free to beeeee!
Now that I have children...
with my body a little pushed out here and there,
and my hair chopped shorter for convenience,
my friends and I trying to sort our schedules out between naps
and running errands,
and never ending games of horsy, Candyland, books, and snuggle times on the couch Friday and Saturday night, I realize something......
I think,
no I know,
that I am somebody special.
I am a mom.
