I am back

We just got back from our much needed vacation.  Ten glorious days of mostly sunshine, beach walking, game playing, rollercoaster riding, visiting family, and lots of sleep.
We traveled twelve hours to go visit grandma and papa who help run a church camp in Pudget Sound.  They live on the beach in a cute cabin/cottage type house.  My husbands sister's family also lives in that area and we were able to visit her family for a couple of days too.
I  can not even describe how hard I slept while we were there.  I still feel like I could have used a few more days.
My favorite part, always, is the beach walking.  I love the feel of the salty breeze on my face and the smell of water, fish, and plants.  It soothes the soul.
My Birthday was also during our trip and my husband spoiled me at a store called Anthropologie.  He also was walking around a little town while waiting for his mom and happened upon a bookstore.  He went in and found out that the author of Gluten Free Girl had just been there the day before doing a signing.  She left two autographed copies of her latest book and he promptly nabbed me one.
A friend of mine bought me her first book and if you love food of any kind, this is a great read.  She is a great descriptive writer and your mouth actually starts to water as you're reading.
