Perspective

While listening to the news my five yr. old asked a very simple, profound question.

"Mom, did Osama know Jesus?  I hope he didn't have to go to the fires in Hell."
I paused.
She was asking about a man who wreaked havoc on countless peoples all over the earth.  At five she asked with the innocent concern and love of a child, Did he know Jesus?
No, I replied.  I think he did not, I think he lost his way.
In our jubilation of having a terrorist finally gone, may we remember Paul, killer of Christians.  The man was on a righteous pursuit to rid the world of the blasphemers....sound familiar?
God still reached out to Paul, as he was on his way to the next town for more blood.  Paul listened, Paul repented and lived out the rest of his life defending Jesus.  There is always hope.
I am sure Osama, just like many others, had a choice.  He made it.
Do you know someone who hasn't made that choice yet?  Have you prayed for them?
Maybe the next question our five yr old might say is, "mom, did grandma know Jesus?"
