Stop spending

Eeek!  Too much spending!
This last week, I broke down and bought a spring dress for some functions we are attending in the next couple of weeks.  I also purchased some jeans and two shirts.  My husband ordered me new running shoes and we went to the store and stocked up on toilet paper, water, and a bunch of other things we were out of.  Dave Ramsey would not be proud.
I know I  could have gotten better deals on the clothes, but I waited until the last minute to start looking and ended up paying full price.  Note to self, procrastinaion...bad.

So, my husband and I have set up a challenge for ourselves.
We have a full tank of fuel in the van and we are challenging ourselves to make it last for six days.  We have a big drive planned for the weekend, so that means I will have to ride my bike to work tonight and in the mornings at 5 a.m.  (please don't snow:)
The other challenge is a 20.00 dollar challenge.
We are leaving for vacation in three weeks.  Our goal is to only spend 20 bucks on groceries and use what we have as best we can.
So, with that, today's lunch is ...

left over taco meat on chips with diced tomato and some shredded lettuce and cheese.

Supper....
baked chicken with potatoes and sliced cucumber
