I have wondered many times how ladies of the "good old days" stayed in such great shape and fit into the tiny little dresses and aprons I see at the vintage clothing store.
Then this spring with getting up to go to work at four in the morning, getting laundry out on the line, planting and potting garden seeds, mowing lawn, exercising once a day, chasing kids, walking to the store....etc. I had an epiphany.
They didn't stop moving!
Combine that with eating whole foods, home made soups, less sweets and better sleep, you have the recipe for toned muscles, healthy hair and skin and an over all better sense of well being.
Do I achieve this daily? No way!
But it is a worthy goal, especially for the sake of my family.
Also, to try to live in this way is good for the soul, the body, and the checkbook. ;)
