Hi all!
I finally feel better after my gluten induced zombihood. Also, I think the flu has left the building. Yeah!
Well it just wouldn't be me if I wasn't training for something so I'll fill you in on what is upcoming.
I will probably be doing a 5k race for a fundraiser in August and also a 4 mile Night run in our local town, raising money for our local food bank. In September The Mt. Governor's Cup is calling my name and I am going to try to shave 4 min. off of my 10k from last year. If that happens I will probably place for my age. We will see.
So a friend of mine was asking about training and I will give a quick outline of what I am doing this week.
Wednesday
Elliptical trainer 30min. high intensity
run alongside my family on their bikes for an evening outing
Thursday
Run easy on treadmill 15 min.
then speed drills for 15 min.
immediately following tread run went to a one hour Zumba class
Friday
One hour spin class
followed by one our resistance training with a friend
(we did a lot of squats and lunges with weights)
I haven't started working up to my 10k distance yet, I am mainly trying to get my cardio back up after a long month break from training.
Well there you go, maybe my friend who asked me can glean some ideas from this. Good luck!
No wonder you are always wiped out!! If you are talking about me being the friend that asked you...I wont dedicate 2 hours to training so that I can do the SYC run in August...just yuck is what I say.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I should borrow a child in a stroller so I can do the hotwheels run/walk with the other MOPS moms...he he he
I have a few children you can choose from. :) I could find you one of those triple strollers!
