Mean ole Scrooge

I am so disheartened for those that think they have to attack Christmas for whatever reason they deem necessary.
Remember the book/movie The Christmas Carol?
Remember Scrooge?
How have we let a bunch of Scrooges take control of a whole season?  I know many people are anti Christ, but to desire to steel the joy from  children and small puppies is just downright mean and selfish.  From Thanksgiving to New Years there is a span of time where folks can change things up.  They can decorate their home in a happy way, have get togethers, bake cookies for others, help in soup kitchens, write cards to those they have lost touch with over the year, drink eggnog!
What is so wrong with that?
Did these mean people, so wrapped up in a point, not get invited to dinner once, or not receive the Star Wars action figure they wanted when they were seven, so now they are going to wage war on the world?  How dare they try to take away an entire season that is engraved in History as a way to celebrate a year gone by, family, a couple of different religious holidays, lights, and joy.
Why are we letting Scrooge win?
