It's been a busy week and I wanted to update you on ideas for meals again...
Sunday after church we like to swing by Costco and grab a few things for the week.
So for lunch, we visit every little table with samples for the day and eat everything from lentil soup, pizza bites, to concoctions made up by the Vita mix guy. We pretty much walk away from the store full and not needing much else till supper.
For supper I always grab a roasted chicken and all of the makings for salad.
When we get home it is chicken salad and rosemary, olive oil bread (for the kids :)
Monday: B- Fried eggs and toast
L-chicken salad again
S-Spaghetti Squash with home made spaghetti sauce
Tuesday: B-Scrambled eggs with salsa and toast
Snack- home made zucchini bread
L-Left over spaghetti with bread, chopped veggies
S-Home made chicken and rice soup (from the left over roasted chicken) with cheddar cheese
Wednesday: B-Pumpkin Flax seed cereal with blueberries and raspberries
Snack-yogurt
L-Leftover soup, smoothies made with orange juice, pear, plum and ice cubes
S- McDonald's (Hey, you gotta have a little give....mmmm "I'm lovin' it").
Thursday: B-Baked oatmeal, milk
Snack-yogurt for kids, protein shake for me
L-Tuna salad on rice crackers, chopped veggies and fruit
S-Roast, with potatoes, carrots and homemade biscuits
I know it's a very simple menu plan, but for the most part it's easy to accomplish and easy on the checkbook. Hope I gave you some inspiration.
