Our four year old has a purse. It is one of those huge bling blingy types and, oh ya, it is snake skin. She dug it out of hand me down bag and it was love at first sight. As soon as I nodded the ok that she could keep it, she promptly took it down to her room and loaded it up with all of her money, cards, a couple of books, some necklaces, and rocks (from our driveway.) You can't have a snake skin purse without rocks in it.
Anyways, all this brings me to our day trip to the big city, and the mall. The mall where my four year old drug the bling bling purse all over the place and kept leaving it in stores so we would have to go on scavenger hunts to find her precious bag. The mall where after we left the stores I would promptly open the bag to make sure nothing random ended up in the gigantic purse. And lastly, I will not forget the image of this little tiny girl with blond wispy hair taking off in front of us with her purse hanging off her shoulder dragging on the ground and the air of determination in her step to look like a big girl. Sigh. Too sweet. Sigh. Don't grow up so fast.
Little girls with purses are adorable, for sure. And, yes, they grow up way too fast. Many, many sighs are warranted.
