The Truth of the Matter

Yesterday, my oldest (age 6) told a lie.  And immediately admitted the lie and more of her misbehavior (sneaking tv watching).  We asked her what she thought an appropriate punishment would be and her answer was sweet.  She wants no tv for three days, we actually don't watch much tv, but we have family movie night tonight with popcorn and everything.  She cried about how she is going to miss out on the family time but felt that her sneaky behavior was bad enough to have to miss out on such a treat.  She is such a good girl.  I don't want to make her follow through, but I know to raise a woman of virtue and honor I must be sure to be consistent and steady for her.
