Today is our local Farmer's Market. It is a happening place with live music, kids, and dogs running around. I love to go down and be around all of the energy.
The problem is ...I can't bring myself to buy anything because the prices are so crazy high. A bunch of lettuce is $4.00, a pint of blueberries $4.00, and a bar of soap $6.00. I can go to our overpriced food co-op and get a better deal. I feel bad, I want to support our local community, but not if it breaks the bank.
I also wonder if the big Hutterite produce truck I saw at Costco being loaded with boxes of fruit was going to be driven to our local Farmer's Market and sold at inflated prices?
