Do you have two or more kids to feed?
Do the demands for personalized food/sandwiches make your eye twitch?
Well, today, I decided to bypass the "but I didn't want mustard on mine!" or the "can I just have cheese and no meat?" question.
I chopped up everything including the toasted bread about 2 inch by 2 inch.
Then put it all on a large dinner platter in a nice luncheon type way. I included cheese slices, turkey, tomato, cucumber slices, toast, and grapes.
The little children then took their empty plates and built their own mini sandwiches. And you know what? They loved it!
Fun for them, a way to let them have a slight say in what they eat, and no stress for me.
The frugal part.....the plate was empty. = no waste
