Three girls, seven and under, can be difficult at times.
This morning was no exception.
I decided on a whim that we all needed a haircut.
We pulled into the Salon parking lot spirits high. The sun was shining, the girls were smiling. As we entered the Salon Ellie smiled sweetly and said, "we're getting our hair's cut." The baby went to play in the corner with the toys and my oldest sat reading. It was good, real good,....too good.
Then, it is suddenly my turn.
No sooner did my behind hit the chair Ellie started to tease Rachel. Frustrated cries started to arise, I calmly tried to talk them into "being nice."
Rachel decides at this point that just leaving the situation works for her. So off she goes, out the door! I can't do anything, I am getting my hair cut. So my oldest puts her magazine down and brings the now flailing, angry, head spinning, baby Rachel back.
She then proceeds to lay on the floor screaming while the other two decide to play some jumping game from hair cutting station to the next.
I am now feeling the heat rise up my neck as I instruct everyone to go sit down and calm down. The hairstylist man then says, "wow, I am amazed you have any hair left with those kids."
How...embarrassing.
They have done this in public less then I can count on one hand. But today, was a doosy.
It always happens at the hair dresser.
ReplyDeleteAlways.
Even with the best 7 and unders.
I cut my own hair now.
