We drive very far to take the kids to Awana on Wednesday nights. So we end up staying at the church drinking coffee and visiting with other parents.
Last week I over heard a couple of moms visiting and they were excitedly talking about a verse one of them had read that week. I went home and read, re-read, and re-thought out the verse.
Here it is
Psalm 81:5
"The haters of the Lord will pretend submission to Him,
But their fate would endure forever."
Startling, when I looked deeply at myself with this verse in mind.
How often do I pretend to be in submission to the Lord and my heart is in a whole different place? How often has He called me to do something, say something, or deny myself something?
Then, as soon as no one is looking utter under my breath or in my heart a bitter cry of compliance. Yes, pretending submission.
