What are you doing to help others grow?
What about your children?
I have been listening to the controversy about a certain show on MTV called "Skins".
It depicts teenagers living out of control; doing drugs, wild parties, and lots of sexual immorality.
It is a direct assault against our children, families, and our future.
This show says "do whatever, we don't hold you to any standard anyway." I mean really, adults don't care about teenagers, right?
Hey, I care.
And, I believe, people of all ages have a desire to live up to whatever standards that we set in front of them.
I believe children need good role models, not some sham of an attempt to neutralize bad behavior and live our daily lives without the inconvenience of having to invest our time into the lives of others.
Love begins at home, and it is not how much we do.....
but how much love we put in that action.
~Mother Teresa
Is my focus, your focus, on love put into action?
Or am I too inconvenienced for that?
What happens to our children, to our future if we don't take the time to set the standard of excellence in their lives?
