It is Monday. Good morning and blessings on you and your family.
Today, I wanted to address this old world and what it has to offer.
Nothing when compared to eternity.
We live in a fallen world, friends, full of sin, destruction, hardships, and deep sadness. God did not plan it this way. That is why Jesus came and died for us. He loves us so very much and wants to spend eternity with us, loving us, showing us His great affection and glory. All we have to do is believe Him, admit we need Him, and follow Him.
As believers some days are harder than others, especially when we see great suffering all around us. But God's promises are our hope and we can rest our heavy hearts in His hands. My heart goes out to the people of Japan and other parts of the world who are living in turmoil and searching for a home....searching for a place to rest. This is why it is so important to share our faith with others. How will they know where to turn for comfort if we don't share who the comforter is?
Hebrews 11:13-16
13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them,[c] embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. 14 For those who say such things declare plainly that they seek a homeland. 15 And truly if they had called to mind that country from which they had come out, they would have had opportunity to return. 16 But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.
Are you seeking a Heavenly home or just a place to squat here on earth?
