I was just thinking.
Have you ever prayed for the nations?
Have you prayed that prayer? The one asking God to turn people's hearts back to Him and to the truth? Have you asked God to bring our own country back to it's knees for Him?
Do you know what that looks like?
It's not a sweet big tent revival. How might God show His power, prove to man He is real, and help them realize the cozy little lives with bank accounts, gadgets, and abundance that they have set up for themselves is useless when hit with the reality of the Maker and the fact that they need Him?
Does it look like Japan?
Does it look like the foreclosure a friend is facing?
Did you ponder Heaven and Hell at the last funeral you attended?
When praying, do we take the time to really ponder what we are asking for?
I have a friend praying for a miracle from God to help them sell their house in this declining market because they bought one they wanted more last week. I am not sure if He will help them are not, but I wonder if they sought His wisdom before making their purchase.
Would they come to Him on bended knee more if He didn't grant their miracle? Who's miracle is it anyways? God's or theirs?
Like when teaching our own children, might He allow them to suffer the consequence of a bad choice to help them realize the err of their ways?
If we ask God to bring Nations to their knees for Him, we should really be prepared for when He does.
