Lunch is Supper

We have been tightening the purse strings so to speak.
So, just because, I am going to tell you what we have been eating to keep things on the cheap. ;)
Yesterday, we had...
fried eggs for breakfast with toast (the eggs were free, on a trade for labor)
Lunch was white chili made with "on sale" chicken breasts, two cans of white beans, a can of salsa verde, tomatoes from our garden, cilantro, and an onion.  We did splurge and top it with cheese. (I love cheese)
For a bonus, my husband made some corn bread out of some corn meal that I got at a discount grocery and we topped it off with some free honey.
For supper...leftovers!

This morning we had scrambled eggs (more free eggs :) with spinach, cilantro, and Colby jack cheese on tortilla shells, and organic milk.

Lunch
Hamburger soup (free hamburger, on trade for labor)
garden tomatoes, garden potatoes and organic store bought corn.
leftover corn bread
Supper...leftovers!

Hope I gave you some ideas!  Please don't judge this post by the many grammatical errors.  I know, ok, I know.
